tw telecom Wins Five-Year, $1.4 Million Contract to Provide Data, Internet and Voice Services to U.S. Air Force Base
- tw telecom to install and manage services at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs
tw telecom won the five-year contract, valued at $1.4 million, through a competitive bid process that evaluated technical compliance, past performance and proposed costs. Installation of the services will be complete by December 31, 2009.
"As home to the 21st Space Wing, Air Force Space Command, United States Space Command, and North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), Peterson Air Force Base is a vital asset to both the military and the city of Colorado Springs," said Rick Corbett, vice president and general manager for tw telecom in Colorado Springs.
